RSUD WANGAYA MENYERAHKAN 1 JENAZAH TERLANTAR KEPADA MAHASISWA SETELAH BERKOORDINASI DENGAN PEMERINTAH DAERAH PAPUA DAN DINAS SOSIAL KOTA DENPASAR

Today, April 4, 2025, Wangaya Hospital, Denpasar City, handed over an abandoned body named J.M to a party that has obtained official permission to bury the body properly. J.M is known to have no family or relatives who can be contacted to take care of his burial.

The party that received the body was a group of students from one of the universities in Denpasar who are members of a social community organization. With humanitarian intentions and official permission that has been obtained, they helped the burial process of J.M's body according to the procedures of the religion they adhere to.

In this case, Wangaya Hospital collaborated with the Denpasar City Social Service to facilitate the process of handing over the body according to applicable procedures and Pastor Chandra who helped facilitate KJ for abandoned bodies from Papua and accompanied and led prayers in the handover procession until the burial of the body, which was carried out on the same day.

The collaboration between the hospital, government, and community is proof that concern for others can still be realized within the corridor of law and legitimate procedures. Hopefully the spirit of solidarity, empathy, and humanity will always be maintained in community life.
