According to the World Health Organization (Global TB Report, 2022), TB is still a health problem in the world today. Indonesia itself is in second place with the highest number of TB cases in the world after India, followed by China.
Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium tuberculosis. This condition can attack the brain, lymph nodes, central nervous system, heart and spine. This disease can be fatal for the sufferer if not treated immediately. Even so, TB is a disease that can be cured and can be prevented.
In commemorating HTBS with the global theme “Yes! We can End TB", the theme chosen by Indonesia is a theme related to multi-stakeholder cooperation to prevent and achieve the elimination of TB, namely "Let's End TB Together, Indonesia Can!". It is hoped that this theme can increase public awareness about TB problems.
